God is just a prayer away

12.22.15 God is just a prayer away
Sometimes Christians do not feel the presence of God in their lives. I guess we all feel that God is far away from us in Heaven. We believe that we are on our own and that He is not accessible.
Jesus said, Matthew 6:6- ""But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your
Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Prayer is a Christian's privilege; made real and earnest-- meaningful-- because a Christian (and only a Christian) truly appreciates such characteristics of God.
God is in that place of prayer waiting for us. The Word tells us that God is never far from us.
Psalms 145:18- "The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth."
God hears us when we call upon His name. God listens to the prays of His people.
1 John 5:14-15 "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."
He wants us to approach Him in prayer.
Hebrews 4:15- "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
God wants us to go to Him in prayer because he truly cares about us.
Romans 5:8- "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
God's special care is over His children.
Matthew 6:30- ""Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, what shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things."
Jesus says that we need only go into the "prayer closet" and God will gladly give blessings.
This teaches a great lesson in our faith in relation to God's desire to give us blessings. He wants us to demonstrates
our trust in His goodness and love by continuing to "ask, see, and knock." In turn He will show his faithfulness by answering our prays. This is in accordance with His will and with what God knows is best for us.
We can have the assurance that God wants to give us blessing and answer our prayers.
1 John 5:14-15- "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. {15} And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."
Lord I come to You thanking You for only being a prayer away. I know when I can't talk to anyone else I can talk to You and You will listen. You take care of all my needs that which I am thankful for. Lord please with my facebook family and friends and know that I love You. I ask these things in Jesus name Amen.
